Emilie Veillon

Integrated Category

Group Creative Director

Emilie's extensive creative career began in Paris, working in traditional advertising and digital agencies as both an art director and a creative director.

Since joining Sofresh in 2012, Emilie has used her experience to develop and nurture the creative department by providing day-to-day creative guidance, hiring new talent and defining working processes to strengthen the team. In her first three years, Emilie’s energy and passion for raising the bar led Sofresh to grow from a production agency to an award-winning creative agency in Vietnam. Her devotion and commitment to Sofresh’s progress enabled the successful acquisition by Mirum, JWT's worldwide digital agency, transforming it from an independent agency to a network agency under the WPP umbrella.

Today, in addition to leading and inspiring the creative department at Mirum Vietnam, she continues her creative journey, honing her skills through global and regional creative campaigns.

"In a world where communication is asked to bring effectiveness, it’s important to realize that Award winning work is considered to be 11x more effective than not award winning work(source. IPA, 2015). This means creativity is deeply linked to effectiveness. Creativity is not about awards, it’s about breaking through the ocean of content to create something relevant that will achieve effectiveness. Create experiences that people want and businesses need. Create work that makes a difference in the way it interacts with people, the services it provides or the entertainment it offers. Vietnam Young Spikes is a great opportunity, free of agency and client limits, to create what you want to create and see how far your ideas can go."

Denise Thi

Digital Category

Managing Director
Isobar Vietnam, Dentsu Aegis Network

Denise Thi was 24 years old when she founded Emerald Consulting in 2009 which has been quickly named in the Top 3 Best Consulting Agency within 5 years since establishment. Since 2015, Emerald merged with Dentsu Aegis Network  and officially became Isobar Vietnam from April 2016.

Isobar has been recognized as a Leader for the third consecutive year in Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Global Digital Marketing Agencies" for its completeness of vision and ability to execute. The agency is now working in digital marketing strategy consulting, customer relationship management, marketing campaign operations which aims to generate potential customers and creative digital marketing campaigns for local and global clients.

Denise was listed in the first Top 30 under 30 by Forbes Vietnam in 2015. In 2016, she received the prize in the category “Best Leader" at the Young Woman Achiever organized by HerWorld magazine in Vietnam. Furthermore, she is the first Vietnamese woman to be awarded by Campaign Asia in the list of 40 Women to Watch in APAC.

“Creativity is not about making us look good by launching an ad or pushing a viral video to reach million views. Creativeness, especially in our post-digital time, is all about delivering value to people as brands and as human being, in anything we, so-called creative pros, construct. Now it is time to craft and stay authentic with our brand narratives as a living proof that creativity is not for selling distorted promises, not for sugar-coating brand offers. It’s time to leave behind our ego as brands and marketers, for creativity is to change people lives with the most disruptive thinking, delivering through our works – stories, experiences, business impacts, etc. I can’t wait to see how our next generation sculpts that holy grail of creativeness.”

Ha Nguyen

Digital Category - Jury Chairwoman

Managing Partner & Co–Founder

Being raised and grew up in a delicate culture rich in music, art and literature in Hanoi, Ha soon developed a profound sense for cohesiveness and harmony. These qualities later proved to be the essence of all she does during her career path.

Fresh out of the top university, she started out in a position only reserved for those with a lot of trust and confidence. This was where her passion for delicate, artistic communication grew up fast and began to shine. After a few more advancements, she moved out and founded ClickMedia in 2009. Founding and leading a business in an industry where there has never been another predecessor was both exciting and challenging: the only way of survival is genuine hard work and innovation. In fact, that was proven to pay back well.

Clients with the highest demand for quality and value began to come and the business grew quickly. ClickMedia has been serving the leading brands and companies such as: Heineken, Unilever, PepsiCo, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Vinamilk… In 2014, ClickMedia joined WPP by a brief acquisition. Today, Ha is leading a team of more than 100 diversified digital talents. Under Ha’s leadership, the team established and strived to maintain the highest level of professionalism and expertise. ClickMedia has been recognized by many award shows such as AMES APAC, MMA Global, APAC, Campaign Asia…

“Digital evolves very fast and through 12 years working in the industry, I have experienced that a lot of things can change in the blink of an eye. How to not only keep up, but also lead the change requires much of curiosity in the first place. Young Spikes is your chance to prove your limitless creativity. So be curious. Join the competition. I’ll see you there!”

Francois Goddet

Media Category - Jury Chairman

Chief Integration Officer
Publicis One

Francois Goddet was enjoying all the short 30-second stories on television when he was just 5 years old. Later, he grew up with a desire to be part of the communications community and had the idea to send to Maurice Levy – CEO of Publicis Group – a teasing jigsaw of his face. This really impressed Maurice and he asked his HR Manager to offer Francois a first trainee in the most prestigious French creative agency. After that, Francois continued expanding his professional journey through being an account manager at Publicis French Headquarters and a TV trader inside the media department of the Havas Group. Then he went back to Publicis Group and took the function of general manager. It was a truly human adventure and he was lucky enough to win with his great employees a lot of new business. He joined the Vivaki board as New Business Officer for brands including Digitas, Raxorfish, Starcom and Zenith.

Years later, he took his family outside France for a new adventure and started a position as CEO of Zenith in Brussels.  After three years,  his boss asked him to go a little bit far away and he has been now in HCMC for the last two years, handling the media activities and occupying the position of Chief Integration Officer at Publicis One.

“Stay modest, be brave, be unique, enhance your interpersonal skills, inspire yourself and your office neighbors, be happy every morning to come and to work for one of the most sexy industry! Take it as a game. Will you win or will you lose? Take it easy and try harder to do the extra miles. It will be good for your client and your company but you know what? It will be the most amazing experience you ever had and it will propel you in a new dimension: the accomplishment of yourself! Shall we start the game?”
